Josef Hickersberger, head coach of Al Wahda, does not expect to continue with his team after the end of this season. The team that won the title last season has lost three and were tied in two of their last five league matches while they lost the final of the President\'s Cup to Al Jazira 4-0. Al Wahda are directly faced with relegation this season. They are placed 8th with 20 points while the 11th placed team has 14 points and there are still six matches remaining. Poor results \"I don\'t expect the club to renew my contract after the poor results which the team achieved lately and for which I hold myself responsible.\" Hickersberger told a local newspaper. \"We have faced difficult circumstances, specially in the injuries of our defenders. \"We have suffered from the absence of Basheer Saeed, Omar Ali, Tilal Abdulla and now Hamdan Al Kamali is suspended which means I will have to face Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia this week in Jeddah without a central defender.\" Al Wahda has lost 3-0 at home to Al Ittihad in the first leg and they have two points from three matches in the AFC Champions League. Romanian coach Illei Billacci and his German counterpart Winfred Schaefer attended the Al Wahda-Dubai match and their presence led to many questions whether they were invited by the club to negotiate a takeover from Hickersberger, as both have worked before in the UAE. The club\'s officials, however, denied any link with the coaches.
