In-form striker Mario Gomez expects to extend his contract with Bayern Munich in the coming weeks. Gomez\'s current contract expires next summer but he appears poised to sign a new deal that will run through until 2016. The 26-year-old has been in career-best form this season, netting 23 Bundesliga goals to close in on the 28-goal record he set last term. The Germany international has scored nine in his past five games, including four in the 7-0 UEFA Champions League last-16 rout of FC Basel. \"The probability of me renewing my contract is very strong. I feel good,\" Gomez said. Earlier this month Gomez\'s agent, Uli Ferber, said a deal was close. \"We\'ve had excellent discussions with Bayern and they all want an extension,\" he told Bild. \"It could happen very soon.\"
