Borussia Monchengladbach\'s director of sport Max Eberl has denied that Bayern Munich have made an enquiry for his club\'s attacking midfielder Marco Reus, and has told them they will be wasting their time if they do. Reus masterminded Gladbach\'s 1-0 win over Mainz yesterday on his return to the side after missing the previous two games due to injury. Gladbach picked up only one point in those two fixtures, showing how dependent they are on the 22-year-old, who they would like to keep beyond the end of the season. \"There is no offer (from Bayern),\" Eberl told Sky television. \"It is obvious that the lad is interesting and he is playing a fantastic season and it is also obvious that he feels very, very happy with us. We have not received any enquiries and there would be no point in any arriving because we want to keep hold of the lad for a long time.\" Reus played yesterday with the aid of a specially-formed boot to protect a broken toe. Yet it was another injury which prompted a collective holding of breath in the Borussia Park Stadion when the Germany international appeared to be in agony. \"I just got my foot caught in the ground and my knee got a bit twisted,\" he explained. \"It really hurt to start with, but now it is fine. I don\'t think it is anything bad. I will undergo tests to see how it is, but I think it is all fine.\" Reus is therefore a doubt for Gladbach\'s final fixture of 2011 in the DFB-Pokal against Schalke on Wednesday.
