Radamal Falcao this Monday explained the reasons that made him decide to abandon Europa League and Portuguese League Champions, Porto and join Atletico Madrid. With a price of 40 million Euros, plus another seven million Euros to be paid in possible incentives, the Colombian international striker is the most expensive player to move to the Spanish BBVA Primera Liga this summer, costing more that Cesc Fabrigas, Alexis Sanchez, who have joined Barcelona and Real Madrid\'s most expensive signing, Fabio Coentrao. He arrives from Porto with the job of replacing Sergio \"Kun\" Aguero, who was sold to Manchester City for 45 million Euros and speaking to the Atletico Madrid website, ahead of his official presentation at the Vicente Calderon Stadium, Falcao explained he would do everything he could to ensure that Kun would not be missed. \"I will give 100 percent effort and I will play every game with my heart: I have always played my football like that,\" said the striker, who is optimistic about the future. \"I think we are putting together an interesting team here and I want to contribute the maximum to help us achieve big things,\" he said. Falcao explained by he had decided to leave Porto to join a club that had only finished seventh in the BBVA Primera Liga last season. \"Atletico is one of the biggest institutions in Spain and they have a big set of fans, who are always there no matter whether or not the team wins or loses. Our aim is to return Atletico to the top positions in Spain and Europe.\" \"I don\'t just aim to score goals, but I also carry out the previous work in the hope of creating chances. I am not the kind of striker who waits in the penalty area waiting for chances to fall to me,\" he concluded.
