All Boys and Velez Sarsfield could not be separated in their top-of-the-table clash as they played out a goalless draw. A point was enough to keep Velez at the summit of the Clausura standings, ahead of their opponents and Estudiantes, who joined the two sides on eight points with a 1-0 win at San Martin San Juan. An own goal from Diego Sosa after 17 minutes was all that separated the teams. Independiente lost again, going down 3-1 at home to Argentinos Juniors. Goals from Nicolas Batista, Fabian Bordagaray and Pablo Barzola made the points safe for the visitors before Roberto Battion pulled one back. That was the first goal of the Clausura for Independiente, who are rock bottom with no points from four games.
