Cesena have fired coach Marco Giampaolo following their 2-0 defeat at Parma which left the club winless and in last place in Serie A. Cesena have yet to win this season, picking up just three points and six defeats in their nine matches while only scoring three goals. Giampaolo becomes the fifth coach this season to be fired. Gian Piero Gasperini lasted just five official matches as the head coach of Inter Milan, while Pierpaolo Bisoli was given only five league games at Bologna. Roberto Donadoni and Stefano Pioli, currently coaching Bologna, were both fired before the league season even began by Cagliari and Palermo respectively. Giampaolo has previously coached Ascoli, Cagliari, Siena and Catania.
