AC Milan dropped valuable points in the Serie A title race as they were held to a 2-2 draw at struggling Bologna. Marco Di Vaio put the hosts in front but an equaliser from the evergreen Clarence Seedorf and a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty looked to have turned the game around. But Alessandro Diamanti levelled just two minutes later as Milan dropped two points behind new league leaders Udinese. Milan came roaring out of the blocks and Ibrahimovic almost put them ahead after three minutes, his free-kick coming back off the bar. At the other end Di Vaio tried his luck from outside the area, but his shot went wide. And the veteran striker put his side in front in the 11th minute. Diamanti led a quick counter-attack and fed Di Vaio, who fired a low shot into the bottom left corner past Marco Amelia from outside the area. Milan move ahead The lead lasted just five minutes, though, as Seedorf took a pass from Kevin-Prince Boateng and crashed a shot into the top corner. The visitors were back on top again and Alberto Aquilani and Boateng both sent shots wide. Ignazio Abate then brought a fine save out of Jean Francois Gillet, the Bologna goalkeeper at full stretch to keep out an effort bound for the top corner. Boateng also tested Gillet from range before Bologna threatened again through Gaston Ramirez, whose attempt was easily dealt with by Amelia. The hosts started the second half the brighter, the dangerous Di Vaio firing against the right post within two minutes. But it was Milan who went ahead in the 71st minute. Andrea Raggi fouled Ibrahimovic in the area and the Swede fired the resulting penalty high into the top corner. The champions were pegged back almost immediately, though, as Diamanti picked out the corner of the net with an angled shot from outside the area. They pushed forward in search of a winner, but Boateng and substitute Urby Emanuelson were both off target as Bologna held on for a point.
