The 20-year-old had been harbouring hopes of playing in the Olympics, but on Monday Arsene Wenger ruled him out of contention for England’s Euro 2012 squad, and stated that playing in the Olympics would be \"the worst possible idea for him\".With the Olympics set to kick-off in late July, Wenger is also said to have urged Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to prioritise Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the Far East over an Olympic spot.
