Newly-promoted Braunschweig are setting the pace in the German second division and top the league after two straight wins. Going up to 2.Bundesliga and doing well is one thing but taking on the mighty Bavarians is another step altogether. Mind you, the overwhelming favourites (1.33) aren't taking the game lightly. Jupp Heynckes has urged caution for the trip telling the press: "We are facing opponents who are not only very motivated but will also play with a lot of passion. They marched through the third division last season as champions and now the lead Bundesliga II in an impressive manner." Heynckes will be without Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben who will both miss the game through injury. Toni Kroos will be called upon again and, following his excellent goal against AC Milan last week in the Audi Cup, he looks a good bet to score. "We have prepared really well for this game and I'm sure we will be able to win there," added Heynckes. A win is certainly needed for Bayern as they have failed to triumph in any of their last four friendly games in normal time. A capacity crowd of 25,000 is expected to be in attendance. After so many Bundesliga sides were sent packing there will be punters attracted to Braunschweig @ 8.50. The minnows are also a tasty 6.0 on the draw no bet option. Bayern Munich are well known for spoiling the party and it would be a major shock to see them slip up tonight. A price of 1.33 is far too short unless you are staking an absolute fortune. For better value consider Toni Kroos to score anytime @ 2.75 which is superb value. Bayern's defence has not looked secure so far in pre season so Braunschweig to score exactly one goal @ 2.80 may be worth a punt. The bookies have been paying attention to the away side's friendly form by pricing both teams to score at a surprisingly short 1.57.
