Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, leading a government trade delegation, will head to Moscow, Russia in June 5th.
The visit aims to bolster trade exchange and strong investment strategic partnerships between the two friendly countries.
During the two-day visit, Al Mansouri will open the UAE-Russian Business Forum, which will be held in the light of the directives of the wise leadership of the UAE and the organisation of Ministry of Economy to establish trade and investment partnerships between government and private sectors in both countries.
The Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation Igor Slyunyaev and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, Omar Saif Ghobash, a number of Russian Government officials, representatives of government and private sector, businessperson and prestigious investments will attend the forum.
The participating UAE official delegation includes Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy-Foreign Trade sector, in addition to 40 members representing the Emirati government and business sectors.
Al Saleh told Emirates News Agency (WAM), that Economy Minister will hold meetings with a number of Russian officials including Alexei Ulyukayev. Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation to discuss ways to enhance economic relations between the two countries, especially in the trade, investment, industry, modern technology, renewable energy, oil, water purification, food industries and diamonds fields.
He added that Al Mansouri will deliver a speech at the opening of the forum, indicating that the forum aims to open-up new markets in Russia for the Emirati goods and products.
He also pointed out that the forum will be a platform for more dialogues and specialised meetings between the UAE trade delegation and representatives of Russian government and private sectors in order to explore joint investment opportunities in the best service of the two countries' incomes.
