Assistant Undersecretary for Television Affairs at the Ministry of Information Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah has applauded the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) radio stations for their keenness on offering the best services to people in the member states through exchange of views and proposals.
Sheikh Fahad, who chairs the 16th meeting for the GCC radio official stressed in a press statement on Monday the importance of "This is the Arab Gulf" radio that transmits from Bahrain. He welcomed the delegations taking part in the meeting.
For his part, designate director of the GCC General Secretariat media department, Fahad Saleh Al-Khulaif, expressed gratitude to Kuwait for hosting the meeting. He congratulated the Kuwaiti people on the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a 'Humanitarian Leader' and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center." Al-Khulaif added that the agenda of the two-day meeting comprises a host of proposals from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman, in addition to a worksheet from the Gulf Radio and Television Organization, and reports from the GCC General Secretariat on what has been achieved over the past year.
He paid tribute to officials in the Bahraini media for launching "This is the Arab Gulf" radio.
