The Head of Yemen's Students Union in China, Abdo Ali al-Borkany, said that the Yemeni student in China suffers from many problems, particularly the difficulty of the Chinese language and difficulties caused by the internal situation which resulted in delaying the students' dues.
Al-Borkany revealed, in statements for Arabs Today, that there are many students are threatened to be excluded from the universities, and some will not graduate and will not receive a graduation certificate due to non-payment of tuition fees.
He reported that students who have cultural exchange scholarships in 2015 and 2016 did not receive their dispatching decisions so far, arguing that the scholarships were distributed from the Cultural Mission as a result of the war in Yemen.
Al-Borkany added that the graduating students this year and numbered about 200, have trouble in returning to Yemen because of the current conditions of the country.
Concerning the role of Yemeni's embassy in China, he said that the ambassador and cultural attaché, who was appointed recently and even now we cannot rule definitively on them, but it is noticeable now that they do not make sufficient efforts in the interest of students' issues and we wish them to make more concrete efforts to resolve issues experienced by students in China.
He said that the numbers of the Yemeni's students in China estimated at 3000 student. Concerning the communicating with the authorities in Yemen, he added that they are obligated nationally and morally to communicate with the administrator, representative of the Republic of Yemen and the embassy staff in China.
He concluded by directing a message to the Yemeni government, urging them to pay attention for education and the student's missions because they are the future of Yemen.
He also called the media pay attention to the education's issues, urging them to open their doors before the students to express thier suffering.
