Minister Khamis Kajo Konga Khartoum – Abdelgoum Ashmeag The sixth Islamic conference of ministers of Higher Education and Scientific research will be held in Khartoum on November 20. This year’s conference will see 57 countries taking part, under the slogan “The Role of Higher Education in the Development of Science and Technology for a Prosperous Future.” The attendees include some members of the Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO). The conference is aimed to develop and unite Islamic countries’ higher education policies. Sudan’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khamis Kajo Konga said the conference proves that Sudan is not isolated from worldwide discussions. He said he is hoping this conference will allow Sudan to showcase its developments and improvements in higher education. He also said the expansion plans around university campuses in Khartoum is successful so far.
