Advisor to Egypt's mufti Ibrahim Negm on Sunday said an European tour paid by Mufti Shawqy Allam over the past week aimed at correcting misconceptions about Islam.
The tour has achieved great success at all levels, and has received unprecedented media attention there, Negm added.
Egypt's Dar al Iftaa is working to spread moderation, to defend Islam and to fight the fatwa chaos abroad, he added.
The world has to unite against terrorism and its causes without distorting the image of Islam, he said.
Terror groups take cover of religion to achieve their goals but they actually have nothing to do with it, he added.
