The Health Ministry warned the citizens about traveling to Madagascar and the Indian Ocean islands of Seychelles and Mauritius, due to the outbreak of the “Black Death” plague, according to Sabq.
On its official Twitter account, the ministry called on citizens in these regions to follow these important instructions: Use an insect repellent to prevent bug bites; avoid a direct contact with ill or dead animals; remain vigilant for ill people and especially those who are suspected of pneumonia; avoid crowded places; and immediately seek medical care in case of development of fever or inflamed lymph nodes.
The ministry said that it is following developments of the plague outbreak with the World Health Organization and will update its recommendations when needed
