The Yemeni Embassy here condemned on Monday the terrorist blast that targeted the Boutroseya Church in Cairo's Abbassiya district yesterday.
The blast left 23 persons dead and 49 others injured.
In a statement, the embassy condemned such terrorist acts, stressing that they will not succeed in undermining the determination of Egyptian people and government to firmly confront terrorism.
It expressed Yemen's support of all steps taken by Egypt to preserve its security and stability.
The statement called for holding all perpetrators and those financing terrorist operations accountable for these acts.
It expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
The explosion happened at about 10:00 local time during a Sunday mass service.
A video footage showed the interior of the church littered with broken and scattered furniture, along with blood and clothing on the floor.
Following the attack, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi announced three days of national mourning.
