The government of Venezuela categorically condemns the US administration’s decision to extend sanctions against Caracas for another year, Russia News Today quoted Venezuelan Minister of foreign Affairs Delcy Rodriguez as saying on Saturday.
Earlier on Friday, US President Barack Obama in a letter addressed to the leaders of the Congress, issued by the White House, explained these steps experienced human rights violations, restrictions of press freedom, the use of force in response to anti-government protests in Venezuela.
«This aggression once again made President Barack Obama, is part of his legacy of hatred and serious violations of international law,» wrote Rodriguez on Twitter.
The term of the current sanctions expire on 8 March 2017.
