Washington condemns the banner hanging on a building near the US embassy in Moscow labeling US President Barack Obama a "killer," TASS news agency quoted Deputy State Department Spokesperson Mark Toner as saying at a briefing on Wednesday.
"Freedom of speech is freedom of speech, no matter where. But we obviously object strongly to the characterization of our president in such a way," the spokesperson told reporters.
An art group Glavplakat took credit for making the banner saying on its website on Wednesday the move came in protest against Washington’s plans to "put boots on the ground" to fight against the Daesh terrorists in Syria and Iraq.
