The UN Security Council (UNSC) condemned the two suicide attacks, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, as the terrorist Daesh group claimed responsibility for the two attacks.
The UNSC described the suicide attack that targeted a security training center in the western Libyan city of Zliten as a "heinous act", and the deadliest attack in Libya since toppling Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
A truck bomb killed at least 50 people and injured more than 100 others Thursday at a police training camp east of Libya's capital Tripoli, according to media reports.
The council also condemned the suicide bombing on Thursday that killed six people, including a baby, at a checkpoint at the entrance of the oil city of Ras Lanuf in eastern Libya.
Furthermore, the council urged all parties in Libya to join efforts in combating the threat posed by transnational terrorist groups exploiting Libya for their own agenda, while calling on all Libyan parties to urgently implement the Libyan Political Agreement and work swiftly towards the formation of the Government of National Accord that "will work for the benefit of all Libyans."
