Thailand has offered its condolences to Egypt over the wave of terrorist attacks that targeted police and army forces in Arish, Sheikh Zuwied and Rafah in North Sinai governorate on January 29, Egypt's ambassador to Bangkok Ismail Khayrat said Saturday.
The condolences came in a cable received by the Egyptian embassy in Bangkok from Thailand's Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha to Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Khayrat said.
The Thai premier offered his condolences and support to the Egyptian government and people.
The message also reiterated Thailand's condemnation to any terrorist acts, and expressed the country's readiness to cooperate with the international community in countering terrorism.
