Sudan has expressed deep regret and strong condemnation over the aggression on the embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and its occupation by Houthi militants.
In a statement Tuesday, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Sudan condemns such criminal acts which posed a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on international relations 1961.
Sudan demands immediate evacuation of the occupiers out of the embassy and guaranteeing safety of the staff, the statement said.
The statement indicated that the flagrant aggression has targeted, in the first place, the honorable stance of the UAE and its effective participation among the Arab alliance forces and role for keeping security and stability in Yemen.
The Foreign Minister affirmed Sudan's support to all measures UAE will adopt to protect its interests.
