Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, has condemned the terrorist blast which targeted the security personnel while performing their duties in securing an Ashoora procession in Daih on Budaiya Highway, and resulted in wounding five of them.
It was a cowardly act carried out by terrorist murderers whose aim is to subvert the kingdom’s security and stability and intimidate secure citizens and residents, he said, stressing that the terrorist attack will strengthen Bahrainis’ unity and rallying behind the leadership.
Al-Mulla asserted that such terrorist acts will not affect the unity of the Bahraini people’s segments, religious and components, stressing that it will strengthen Bahrainis’ cohesion and cooperation with the state to confront whoever seeks to put national security and stability at risk.
He affirmed that religious freedoms are guaranteed in the kingdom, and enjoy the care and support of the state, and no one will be allowed to use them to achieve non-national goals.
The speaker called for drying up sources of terrorism and extremism in the kingdom, using all means allowed by the state of law and institutions, as well as for not tolerating such criminals.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the security authorities to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice as soon as possible.
He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless the wounded with speedy recovery, and Bahrain with security and stability.
