Somalia has expressed condolences to the government and people of Egypt over the victims of an Egyptian plane that crashed on Thursday into the Mediterranean Sea with 66 people on board.
"The Somali government offers its sincere condolences to the Egyptian government and people and the families of the victims from different nationalities who lost their loved ones in the crash of the EgyptAir plane," the Somali Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
It called for intensifying global efforts to take all necessary measures for investigating the incident.
EgyptAir flight MS804 was en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers and crew when it vanished in the early hours of Thursday.
