Minister of Solidarity Ghada Wali on Monday strongly deplored Sunday's terrorist attack that rocked the Botroseya church in Abbasiya.
The Egyptian people are in severe pain for the loss of innocent women and children, the minister said following condoling with Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese over the attack.
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail ordered paying exceptional compensations and pensions for the families of the martyrs and the injured, Wali said.
On Sunday, at least 25 people were killed while 49 others were injured in an explosion that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbasiya in Cairo.
