A security official on Tuesday denied what were reported by some media outlets that the convoy of the UN's special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh comes under fire in Sana'a.
The official said that news is baseless.
He said that "the shootings were fired on air by the security services who are responsible to protect and to secure the convoy of the UN envoy to disperse the demonstrators who intercepted his parade before Sana'a International Airport yesterday ."
The official stressed that the security services are keen on the safety of Ismail Ould Sheikh, like other arrivals to Yemen.
The official called on the media outlets to be accurate in writing news stories.
