Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized comments of US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro on the Israeli policy of settlement in the West Bank, Ynet news reported.
"The ambassador's statements, on a day on which a murdered mother of six has been buried, and on a day on which a pregnant woman has been stabbed, are unacceptable and incorrect," Netanyahu said.
"Israel applies the law to Israelis and Palestinians. The Palestinian Authority is responsible for the freeze in the political process and continues to incite while refusing to negotiate," he added.
In his speech at a security conference on Monday, Shapiro had accused Israel of applying two standards of law in the West Bank - one for Israelis and one for Palestinians.
