Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), condemned on Thursday the Italian newspaper "Il Giornale" which called for the expulsion of Muslims in its Wednesday's editorial.
The editorial was an explicit call for hatred against Islam and Muslims, Altwaijri said, describing it a racist move that aimed to provoke the feelings of Muslim communities living in Italy in such hard circumstances.
This means that the Italian newspaper violated international laws that urge the respect of human rights, cultural and religious diversity and co-existence among the components of the Italian society, he said.
Altwaijri called on the International Federation of Journalists to denounce the editorial of "Il Giornale" being a violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the European Convention on Human Rights.
