The Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States (GCC) condemned the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey in the capital Ankara yesterday, describing it as a cowardly act of terrorism incompatible with diplomatic norms and moral and humanitarian principles.
GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani offered his condolences to the Russian government and people, stressing the GCC's condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SPA, Al-Zayani called on the international community to intensify their cooperation for the eradication of terrorism and its criminal organisations.
