Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday mourned the death of Egyptian biker Islam Nasser Ragae who died on Monday during his participation in the 2017 African Continental Track Championships held in the South African city of Durban.
In statements on Tuesday, Egyptian Ambassador in South African Sherif Essa said the Egyptian Embassy in Pretoria will afford bringing home the body of the Egyptian athlete as soon as possible.
The Egyptian Embassy in Pretoria has finalized all documents to bring home the body of Ragae in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sport as well as the Ministry of Egyptian Expatriates after getting the approval of the South African authorities.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the family of the deceased and pledged to extend all possible help to bring home the body of the deceased athlete.
