British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Tobias Ellwood on Thursday condemned Taliban suicide attack on an Afghan police convoy outside the capital Kabul, killing at least 30 people and wounding 50 others.
Mr Ellwood said in a statement "I strongly condemn this morning’s horrific attack on Afghan National Police cadets and civilians in Kabul province, for which the Taliban have claimed responsibility. Today’s callous attack, like the attack on the Nepalese security contractors in Kabul on 20 June, demonstrated a complete disregard for human life. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of all those killed and injured.
The UK stands resolute in our long-term commitment to the Afghan people. We urge the Taliban to stop its senseless killing and come to the peace table".
