A seminar themed “refuting extreme calls” was launched on Wednesday on the role of extremist calls in dividing the nation.
The event, which was attended by Egyptian Mufti Shawqi Allam, is organized by the World Association for al-Azhar Graduates.
Allam asked the attendance to observe a minute of mourning for those who died in the terrorist attacks.
Allam condemned the misconceptions and wrong fatwas about religion, adding that they are dangerous and have negative effect on the community.
He said that Dar al Ifta should clarify the right image of Islam.
