Egyptian journalist and diplomat Mohamed El Maddah died on Monday in Virginia, the United States, at the age of 73.
Maddah was appointed as a diplomat in the Egyptian embassy in Washington in the 1970s till the appointment of Ambassador Ashraf Ghourbal during the rule of late pesident Mohamed Anwar Sadat.
He earned his master's degree in international politics from a US university.
He was one of the founders of the US-Arab Chamber of Commerce in Houston - Texas.
He worked as a journalist in the Saudi newspaper "Okaz" and became the director of its office in Washington until he passed away.
