Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Cairo - Arab Today

Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the terror attack that took place earlier Sunday in Yemen's southern city of Aden and left dozens dead and injured.

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid expressed Egypt's sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

The spokesman, in a statement, stressed Egypt's solidarity with Yemen against terrorism that indiscriminately target innocent people.

Reiterating Egypt's rejection of terrorism and its persistence to uproot it, the spokesman said that the recurrence of such attacks underscores the importance of rallying international efforts in the face of terrorism in view of its growing threats.

The death toll of soldiers killed in the suicide bombing which targeted al Sawlaban military base in Aden's Khor Maksar district went up to 50, according to Yemeni medical sources

A suicide bomber blended in among soldiers crowding near al Sawlaban base and blew himself up earlier in Sunday.
