The Islamophobia monitoring observatory at Egypt’s Dar al Ifta condemned the desecration of six Muslim tombs in southeast of Paris.
The attack is yet another proof of growing Islamophobia in France, where crimes of hatred and discrimination against Muslims, their mosques, cultural centers and property have beem reported, the observatory said in a statement.
Reports show that between 380 and 400 cases of anti-Muslim acts occurred in France in 2015, higher than 2014’s 136 cases, it said.
Some vandals desecrated six tombs of Muslims in the cemetery of Vosves-Dammarie, located in Dammarie-les-Lys in southeast of Paris.
They also poured red paint on the tombs during the night between Friday and Saturday.
