Arab permanent representatives to the Arab League (AL) observed on Thursday a minute of silence over the victims of Sunday's terror attack on El Boutroseya Church in Cairo.
This came at the request of Algeria's permanent representative to the pan-Arab body Nazir al Arabawy.
Addressing the opening session of an extraordinary meeting on the situation in Aleppo, Arabawy stressed his country's support for Egypt in the fight against terrorism.
He also urged the AL council to condemn Sunday's church attack.
Twenty-five people were killed and 49 others injured when an explosion targeted El Boutroseya Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo’s Abbassiya district on Sunday morning.
