Arab foreign ministers will hold an extraordinary meeting on Sunday at the Arab League general secretariat under the chairmanship of UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdallah bin Zayed and in the presence of Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Arabi.
The meeting comes upon a request from Saudi Arabia to condemn the Iranian breaches and assaults on its embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad city.
The Arab League general secretariat received an official note from the Saudi permanent delegate to the Arab League to convene an extraordinary meeting at the level of foreign ministers to address the Iranian interference in Arab affairs.
A diplomatic source said the meeting will discuss only one item which is the Iranian breaches against Saudi diplomatic missions.
The Arab League has condemned the Iranian offense and described it as a flagrant violation of the UN charter and international norms relevant to diplomacy.
