Former Arab League chief Amr Moussa on Monday mourned the victims of terrorism and offered condolences to the families of martyrs of an attack on a church on Sunday.
The former AL chief, in a statement, condoled with Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese as well as Muslim and Christian citizens.
He appealed to all factions of the Egyptian people to unite ranks in the face of plotters and reject extremist thoughts along with plots that aim at destabilizing the Egyptian community, its peace and security, Mosua said.
On Sunday, 25 people were killed and 49 others injured when a bomb went off inside El Boutroseya Church adjacent St. Peter & St. Paul Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo’s Abbassiya district.
Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese led funeral prayers for martyrs of the church attack earlier Monday.
