Al Azhar vehemently condemned on Sunday the twin bombing that hit central Baghdad Saturday and left dozens dead and injured.
In a statement, al Azhar reaffirmed its rejection of terror attacks that target innocent people, stressing that such actions contradict the moderate teachings of Islam.
It also denounced crimes committed by Daesh militants and similar organizations across the world.
On Saturday, at least 27 were killed and scores of others injured when a twin bombing hit the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Two suicide bombers, wearing explosive belts, blown themselves up in al Sinak district, central Baghdad, accorind to Iraqi security.
