The Arab League has welcomed the humanitarian truce in Yemen which has come into effect on Sunday night, calling on Houthis and their loyalists to abide by it.
In statements to reporters at the Arab League premises on Sunday, Arab League Deputy Secretary General Ambassador Ahmed Ben Heli called on Houthis to respect the humanitarian truce because the Yemeni people are suffering hard from the war that hit the country over the past few months.
He called on all parties involved in the conflict in Yemen to shoulder their responsibilities and seize the opportunity to alleviate the suffering of the Yemenis in their painful tragedy
