Hamas member Salah Bardawil
A member from the political leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed that the UN recognition for Palestine
as a full member of the United Nationsis a natural right for the Palestinian people who have been robbed of their land for 64 years ago.
Salah Bardawil said in a press statement on Friday evening that Hamas’ support to the Palestinian Authority Chairman, Mahmoud Abbas, was a conditional aid to move with the preservation of Palestinian constants. He stressed that his movement would not accept harming the rights and constants of the Palestinian people.
Salah Bardawil said the movement would bring additional achievements for the Palestinian people - provided this comes in the context of a shared national vision, based on resistance. He stressed that his movement\'s position stems from its strategic vision to liberate the whole of Palestine.
Bardawil said: \"Hamas would never waive Palestine,\" pointing out that Israel continuously fought Hamas and imposed an unfair blockade on the Gaza Strip. “Hamas believes that Palestine is one land, full of integrity and inseparable,” he added.
Discussing the reasons that prompted 138 States to recognise Palestine as a full member state in the United Nations, Bardawil said: \"The United Nations would not have taken this step without the blood of citizens on the Gazan soil due to the Israeli aggression. Those killed and the steadfastness of the resistance proved to the world that the Palestinian people cannot and should not be ignored in any way.”
