Kamal Zakher claims the government has lost control
Cairo - Ali Ragab

Kamal Zakher claims the government has lost control Cairo - Ali Ragab Egyptian Coptic writer and activist Kamal Zakher has accused the government of "playing with fire," and warned against the spread of violence between Islamists and revolutionaries. Speaking to Arabstoday, the author claimed that rising tensions would "cause more Egyptian blood to be spilled," adding that "the bloodshed is a daily occurrence." On Friday, anti-government protesters clashed with security forces outside Muslim Brotherhood's Guidance Office in El-Mukattam, Cairo, after Islamists had threatened to set fire to the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC). "The clashes between protesters and security forces outside the Muslim Brotherhood's Guidance Office are the outcome of the confusion that has taken over the country in the absence of state authority," Zakher told Arabstoday. The writer blamed the events on "the ruling regime's bankruptcy and its lack of vision and understanding," and urged the government to take control. "The word 'state' means primarily 'order.' What's happening in Egypt has no definition but disorder and the only explanation for it is that the regime is playing with fire," he added.
