Authorities of the United States of America have arrested two US citizens on suspicion of their belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist Organization and setting targets for possible attacks in the United States and Panama.
The Office of the Attorney General John Kim of Southern district of New Your said in statement that the first defendant, Ali Koranic (32 years old) was arrested in Bronx area of New York and the second, Samer Al-Dabq (37 years old) was arrested in Livonia of the State of Michigan.
According to the statement, Korani was charged with collecting information on security at US several airports where he was working, monitoring buildings of security forces in Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York. He was also suspected of receiving training at the training camps of the terrorist Hezbollah in Lebanon.
It added that Al-Dabq was accused of traveling to Lebanon to receive training inside Hezbollah's facilities to be provided with the intelligence, the use of weapons and the manufacture and use of explosives. He was also accused of taking photographs in 2011 of the security measures taken to protect the embassies of the United States and Israel in Panama and seeking in 2012 to know security flaws in Panama Canal facilities.
