Ajman Police have shut down 13 personal accounts on social media that were being used to promote various kinds of narcotic stuff.
A top official of Ajman Police said that the accounts were shut down in coordination with authorities concerned and their owners were arrested.
While constantly monitoring the social media, the cyber patrol department at Ajman Police detected the accounts and their activities, the official added.
The anti-narcotic department was informed about it and an investigation conducted to identify the account users - who were involved in selling and promoting such drugs.
