Sharjah Traffic Police yesterday arrested five reckless drivers who put the lives of others as well as their own at risk.
The police pointed out that it wouldn't tolerate any rash behaviour which threatened the safety of the road-users and community members.
Major Al Kay warned that the youth should refrain from such dangerous acts and recklessness that can cause serious accidents.
He pointed out that security patrols are being deployed in various parts of the city to ensure safety and security.
The department, effective today, will intensify patrols in all locations and streets of the city to monitor such actions and deter the perpetrators.
"Sharjah Police will stand up to anyone who tries to disturb road safety and security," he said.
