U.S. border agents seized a tractor-trailer carrying 14 tons of marijuana in Southern California, the Los Angeles Times reported. The shipment was headed for Los Angeles Wednesday when a routine inspection by a canine officer determined the rig was carrying more than 1,100 bundles of pot, estimated to be worth more than $20 million, the newspaper said. The driver, identified only as 35 years old, was arrested. The cargo -- packed in wooden crates -- is said to be one of the largest drug busts ever carried out by the U.S. Border Patrol, the Times reported. The Drug Enforcement Administration declined to comment.
