Two Somali senior officials, including former spokesman, were killed in two separate drive-by shootings in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, Garowe Online reports.
Armed gunmen traveling in a car have sprayed bullets on a vehicle carrying Mohamed Omar Hagafey, a former Himan and Heeb administration spokesman near Digfeer hospital in Mogadishu's Hodon district. However, the official was reported has succumbed to his wounds sustained in the drive-by shooting.
A similar attack has targeted a senior Somali Intelligence officer identified as Hassan Dheere at El Gabta junction in the capital, according to witnesses.
The NISA officer has sustained serious injuries from the shooting and currently receiving medical care at a hospital. One of his bodyguards was confirmed dead in Saturday's attack in Mogadishu.
