A Saudi woman died after being hit by lightning - while she was having dinner in Turkey.
The Saudi family was dining at at a restaurant in Trabzon at Sultan Murat Parks in northern Turkey, when a lightning bolt hit them - injuring three members of the family while claiming the life of the woman, according to reports.
According to Abdulaziz Al-Suwaid, the wife's husband, his family members were with their uncle in the heights of Sultan Murat last Thursday.
The injured included his daughters and an uncle, who suffered from burns.
Suwaid said that his wife was declared dead at the hospital after 'paramedics were late to attend to her due to language barriers hindering communication with paramedics'.
The distance of the nearest hospital from the eatery also resulted in delaying her treatment, he added.
According to Okaz newspaper, the husband said that his daughters arrived Saturday evening to Saudi Arabia for treatment, while the wife's body is set to arrive today accompanied by his son.
