Russia's Tu-22M3 long-range bombers attacked a number of Daesh targets in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Six long-range bombers Tupolev-22 delivered intensive strikes against Daesh positions near the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor, the defense ministry said in a statement quoted by Russia Today TV channel.
The airstrikes destroyed six ammunition depots, two command posts, two tanks, four infantry combat vehicles and seven all-terrain vehicles with heavy guns, as well as killed many terrorists, the statement added.
The Su-30 and Su-35 fighter jets accompanied the Russian bombers to the airport of location in Russia after fulfilling the tasks.
