Police have strengthened security measures at the Turkish Embassy in Moscow following the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov in Ankara, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Tuesday.
A police squad is guarding the embassy, the situation in the area is calm, no incidents have been recorded.
Karlov was shot by a gunman at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara late on Monday. Three other people were also injured in the attack. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the incident an act of terrorism.
