Police charged protesters in Barcelona near a school where officers entered by force to seize ballots boxes for a banned independence referendum in Catalonia on Sunday, injuring two people, witnesses told AFP.
Officers charged at people who were sitting down to block police from leaving the building, the said. One demonstrator, David Pujol, 37, showed a leg injury he said he received in the clash and an AFP reporter saw another wounded protester in an ambulance.
